Volunteer With Us
Become a volunteer and learn about the unique experience and benefits of giving back and the great feeling that comes with making a difference in the life of people living with Down Syndrome.
Imagine learning at birth that your child has Down syndrome and will be facing enormous developmental hurdles throughout their life. Now imagine learning that in addition to this unbelievable task, they also need to undergo an incredibly high-risk surgery in order for them to thrive, at an extremely young age.
40- 50% of children, who are born with Down syndrome, are likely to be diagnosed with Congenital Heart Defect (CHD). Individuals who are born with CHD have at least one hole in their hearts. Severe cases of CHD will require heart surgery, sometimes as early as six- months-of-age.
The Foundation initiated her health intervention initiative (Save-a-Life Project) that has benefited many children with Down syndrome who have congenital heart defects to receive corrective surgeries abroad.
We currently have over 10 babies on the waiting list and daily referrals from hospitals across the country.
$5000 is required to save the life of one child. This amount covers the costs of hospitalization, travelling arrangements for them in India
Help us save a life, one dollar at a time.
