Training Self-Advocates in Nigeria

Last month, consultants from Down syndrome International (DSI) were in Nigeria to train self-advocacy group facilitators, the facilitators will also train self-advocates to raise their voices with a view to developing and encouraging them to face their future endeavors…

We had our first Self advocacy group session with self-advocates who had the zeal of advocating and speaking out because they have a voice….

Why do we need self-advocates? Because,
They want to speak up and say what their needs and wants are;
They want help those who do not have a voice;
They want to make their own choices;
They want to find a way of doing what they want to do.

Watch out we might be in your community soon to advocate for our right…
